Given Nehimba’s location right on the edge of the mopane woodlands of northern Hwange and the Kalahari sandveld of the west, the area offers the full spectrum and diversity of fauna that Hwange has to offer including elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and hyena—the elephant hunting lions of this area are famous and a special sight to see. This region is well watered and a welcoming host to large numbers of animals throughout the year and during the dry season (July-October) in particular.
Game drives are conducted in specially modified 4×4 vehicles designed to provide wildlife enthusiasts with ideal opportunities for photography. During drives and walking safaris, our expert guides enjoy sharing their extensive knowledge with you—be it while tracking a herd of elephants on foot at dawn or spending the afternoon overlooking the waterhole on the deck by the pool.
Activities include: Game drives, game walks, night drives, and visits to Nehimba Seeps and Mandavu Dam.
